“Enriching the lives of vulnerable children and adults by promoting self-esteem and developing confidence and skills through education, commitment, encouragement and support”
The “Walk With Me” book was written by the founder of Vana Trust, a UK registered charity (1105276) set up in June 2004. “Vana” is the Shona word for children and the charity was established with the aim of advancing good health and education for children and young adults in Africa and the UK .
St David’s School Project at present funds school costs of nearly 100 children affected by HIV/AIDS at primary and secondary schools. Our school “Breakfast Club” now feeds nearly 500 children. Our support for a child sponsored by Vana Trust continues after leaving St. David’s school with further education or training if that child so desires.
Vana Organic Farm Project is an eco-friendly 8 acre farm set up with the aim of unlocking the potential of children and young adults with special needs, behavioural and emotional problems within the tranquility of an organic farm. The farm opened in September 2009 and is located in Buckinghamshire , UK .
